Good to see you starting a build thread for this one!

Can't wait to see what you do to it, it's looking better already.

unfamilia,
Paint shouldn't really affect a rwc.But will see.I will try and get it registered and see how it goes lol.It will def get the wrong type of attention...
If it doesn't sell when put on market(with/without reg/paint etc),plan is to get the car sprayed in primer.I actually like the finish of primer as it also looks like matte paint.will see in the future how things pan out.
Not too sure but an army green primer "matte" might do in the future.I will think about bodywork and paint selection if it doesn't sell the way it looks now...

Flatto,
Thanks for the compliment.as with most of us,some things come by life and you put certain projects aside.Haven't touched the coupe for years haha. Will get onto it soon.
Life is short and that's why i've decided to be pro-active and get things done otherwise its very easy to hoarde parts/cars which you will never use for years.

SquareNacho,
I honestly don't know the brand of the Steelies.Bought them years ago.Next time i get them off ,i will look for any marks/brand marks and get back to you.

So i had a spare set of all new clutch,Pressure plate and Thrust bearing.
Since car will be a daily, this parts will do just fine.
I might put a heavier duty clutch in the future if i decide to get a Gx camshaft regrind.

This was by far the easiest gearbox i've ever done in a house garage simply due to the gearbox weight. No jack required to lift gearbox during installation:)
Had to quickly go buy the alignment tool as a friend borrowed mine forever.Makes it easier to install.all instructions on the packet but i've included some pics..

next was the carby and its intake manifold..Old carby was leaking and the its other gaskets didn't look to good.

Had a spare carby and manifold in good condition so was easier and more time saving for me to just swap them over instead of buying a rebuild kit.

Also changed the ignition Coil.

Pics of old carby off..

will take other pics end of week.
This primer gets abit darker once it dries up
You can see the doors look abit different shade at the moment as they were done last.
