ADVERTISED ON EBAY TODAY ARE DATSUN CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WAS A STANDARD FIXTURE IN 1973 UTES. I DON'T WANT TO PURCHASE ONE IF IT WON'T FIT OR WAS NEVER INSTALLED IN THIS MODEL. THE ITEM IS EXPENSIVE WITH A NO RETURN POLICY. I HAVE CHECKED THE TECH WIKI SITE BUT HAVE A BRAIN ACHE! PROBABLY DUE TO A COMBINATION OF OLD AGE, FEMALE GENDER AND NO IDEA!

This is the ute Deluxe console:

Utes never came with the larger console.

But the large console fits the exact same way as in a Coupe or Sedan. Will fit a ute just fine. As long as you have the brackets for it:
