Great idea! Like the Bugatti straight eight, basically two 4-cylinders fitted together. The Finns undoubtedly could make an A30 engine.

Speaking of straight eights. My all time favourite is the 1955 300slr merc straight eight. Power output is taken from the centre between the 2 banks of 4 cylinders. Mechanical fuel injection and throttle body. Another feature is the desmodronic valve actuation.

On an aside, check out the size of those inboard drum brakes.

excellent stuff guys I wish I had a cheap 240z to put a couple of A13 in line and 6 bike carbs! or a supercharger and single sidedraft

How hard could it be to bolt the rear crank of one to the front crank of another. Both #1 pistons firing at the same time.
