I've got the 4pot calipers.I thought r33 alloy 4 pots were light until i picked up the rx7 calipers

Supafatto, That picture says alot...

The next questions are 1) how far to space the caliper up and 2) how far to space it out/in (how thick is the adapter). The answer depends on which rotor you use.

Very true.Im thinking under 270mm disk?

I think it might have to do with the design of the bracket and maybe rim choice.Ive read of people fitting r32 calipers under 13s?
I wouldn't mind getting the calipers abit shaved off to fit..

When i compare them side to side with nismo mk63 calipers they are very similar in size.So why the nismo calipers can fit under 13s and the rx7 ones can't seem odd.

To fit the S4 four pot to Datsun struts is simple:

The spacing for 120Y struts is slightly different from the 810 struts in this photo, but both are much narrower than the RX7 caliper bolt spacing. So a similar bracket can be fabricated. The next questions are 1) how far to space the caliper up and 2) how far to space it out/in (how thick is the adapter). The answer depends on which rotor you use.

RX7 calipers may fit under a 13" wheel when used with the 120Y disc rotor, but doesn't RX7 rotor+caliper requires a 15" wheel? I seem to recall the Maddat kit needed 15s.

The nice thing is that some RX7 calipers are light alloy.

RX7 FC is 1985-1991
* S4 1985-1988
* S5 1989-1991

S4 calipers come in two kinds:
* 4-piston (for 5-lug rotors)
* single piston floating (for 4-lug rotors)
