Hi Guys

I have a issue on my b210, it starts and die immediately after, have to try about 5- 10 times to get it accelerated, after i could accelerate it runs smooth perfect no miss or hesitate or stumble,
when the engine is hot it starts with first key,
Checked the spark plugs they are perfect, checked the float level in the carb it is perfect
what would be the reason ? any Ideas ?

thanks
regards
sumith

sounds like the choke is stuck open?

After the engine cools down for several hours, tap the accelerator pedal once, then remove the air cleaner lid and inspect the choke:

* It should be closed like this

* If it is partially open like this, adjust it (see Choke Adjustment)

i Have Manual Choke on my b210, it is already open because i don't have choke cable hooked,
it has never been a problem to drive it after few seconds acceleration after a cold start

now it start and dies immeditely

With the choke cable hooked up and engine tuned correctly, it will start without holding your foot on the pedal and immediately drive away perfectly (with no need to a few moments idling).

But as you know in a warm climate, there is no necessity for the choke. After letting the engine run for a few moments after a cold start, it can be driven.

So what has happened to your engine to make it run differently? Or has the weather changed recently?

Try feathering the throttle, i.e. small quick bumps with your foot. It's a work around for when you have no choke, works by using the accelerator pump to richen it up a bit while it's cold. If nothing else it'll tell you what the problem is.

Good idea. If feathering allows it to continue running, that would indicate an air leak around the carburetor.

This symptom -- very hard to start it dies almost immeditely for few attempts, after hard starting it runs perfect afterwords -- can be caused by many things. So check all the basics, including:
* Look for cracked, burned or disconnected vacuum hoses
* visibly check the float level of the carburetor
* Measure the dwell of the ignition points

Sounds like the fuel level is low.
