Simon used a stock A14 head with turbo and made 160 HP. By contrast, naturally aspirated SCCA road racers use highly modified competition heads and only make 140-156 hp.


The H72/H75 has the same size CC chambers as H89, but it is open chamber (H89 is closed chamber).
* H75: 31cc
* H89: 29-31cc
Datsun changed compression ratio for A-series engines by varying the piston dish (5 different dish sizes for A14 engines). Of A12/A13/A14/A14, only the H95 swirl head has a significantly larger chamber. See Chamber Size

What head type are you after specifically? A H75 is a typical favourite for turbo applications as it has slightly larger combustion chambers. Though I think the performance improvement over say a H89 would be negligible.
