That's a difficult one. You can find it on a 1971-1973 Datsun 1200

As far as I know only that plus Datsun 1000 (which was never sold in USA) used it

* 30422-18000 COVER-DUST CLUTCH HOUSING B10, B110
* 30422-H5010 COVER-DUST CLUTCH HOUSING B110 0473-

If you are using a newer transmission (1974-up), use the full engine plate instead + the short release bearing sleeve

I'm guessing no one makes a reproduction? I guess I wouldn't be that hard to make one.

So you'll be reproducing them? No one has asked about this part in many years, so there appears to be no demand ...

Not mass produced, just one for my engine. It seems pretty important to properly cover the transmission with the clutch, flywheel and throw-out bearing being exposed without the cover.

Does anyone have a good source for piston rings? I see that RockAuto does not carry them and I don't really know where else to look. There is an NOS set on eBay but is it a good idea to use 40 year old replacement rings?

Rings are made out of Cast Iron and the oil control rings are steel. They usually don't go on the shelf unless they rust

I almost forgot about this post but I Amy have a couple of extra clutch cover plates. I'll check and let you know tomorrow.

clutch dust covers almost the same as these (have larger holes across the bottom) can be found on B310 automatics. They have the larger holes for the 3 10mm bolts across the bottom of the 60 series transmissions, as opposed to the 6mm bolts used in the 56 series transmissions. Hope this helps a little.

Well, I busted the rear circular flange of the transmission case trying to get the output shaft seal out. There's a welder in town who can weld cast aluminum but that's this week's sob story. However, I have the engine mocked up in the car to make new mounts during the next two days. The dual SU carburetors look great!
