I am in the process of having my MG painted so, the Datsun equipment hasn't received much attention. However, I should be making some engine and transmission progress soon.
I will be getting custom gauges from SpeedHut that match the original MG Smiths gauges but I was wondering what the orange and red lines should be adjusted at for the A12 motor. Any thoughts?

Yes, 1-1/4". I will need to extend the linkages shared between the carburetors and possibly make a new heat shield.

Wow that's different. Are they 1-1/4" SUs?

Thanks to Dave, I won't have to hack the Datsun and MG manifolds! All the way from Australia, a perfectly fitting manifold to mount my MG SU carburetors to.

Ive sent you a PM...I cannot get a pic up here but can email one.

Through research, I found that it's a Triumph manifold with, I believe, H4S carburetors. I was able to find that the port holes are the same as my A12 (approximately 1 inch) but I couldn't find what the distance was between the holes. If it's close, this is the route I'll take.
Any Triumph experts?

Possibly, but the flange doesn't look quite right for Datsun A-series -- maybe it's for Datsun R16? But would probably be an easier mod than starting with a stock downdraft manifold.

Tell me if I'm wrong but it looks like this would fit...
