Hey Matt,

If you grab the complete mounts, sump and pickup from L series 720 ute it should all fall in place, does with the later 620 ball joint chassis, pretty sure the early one is the same.

Use a short gearbox and you can keep the factory tailshaft.

Might need to trim back the rad support panel where the radiator bolts in, or use a smaller radiator shifted forward, or loose the engine fan and run a thermo.

So it looks like the crossmember is the same, and it has horns (supports) that bolt on - either J-series supports or L-series supports.

J15
11246-B5000 RH engine support
11247-B5000 LH engine support
11228-B5000 INSULATOR (2)
11220-14800 RH bracket
11221-14800 LH bracket

L16
11240-B5500 RH engine support
11241-B5500 RH engine support
11220-B7900 INSULATOR (2)
11230-B5500 RH bracket
11233-B5500 LH bracket

No worries, I could be wrong and the US parts will bolt right into your 620. Otherwise you could use Stanza L16 brackets or 200B or Bluebird brackets.

Making an L-series crossmember is one of the easiest kinds. There is an overview with photos in our tech article L/Z/KA/SR Crossmember shows how to for the 1200. It's basically two square plates at 30(?) degree angle. Many photos of different Datsun insulators that swappers use to get slightly different install heights

Try asking the Datsun truck experts at http://ratsun.net. When I was a member there we sometimes got parts for Europe and Australian guys.

I suspect the brackets won't help you, as they are designed for the factory 620.L crossmember and insulators, which I don't think will fit a 620.J frame. Since brackets from any L16, L18 or L20B will bolt to your engine, I'd use a local bracket, there are some slight differences to shape so I'd make the custom crossmember to fit common brackets instead of the other way around. But ask on Ratsun, they might know.
