I had a garage / yard sale yesterday, and I had my Ute on the front yard . A older bloke had a look around and asked if the ute and the wreak in my shed where 1200's.

We talked for a while and then all of a sudden he asked if I wanted a rally preperd A14, its got big twin carbs , extractor's etc.

He then said "oh by the way the gear box is still on the motor". I wasent very interested untill he told me "IT'S A 5 SPEED !!!" What are thay worth to anyone??. I may be interersted in reselling them as I really dont need them.

If you are interested just let my know.

im also interested, what are you asking for the motor?

thats nice if its rally prepped it would be faster than a norm A-14/A-15 if i were you i would put it in unless you have a beter engine in your car

one thing though, if its rally prepared expect it to idle, then run like crap to around 4000rpm and the tonk above that to over 8000rpm, an absolute pain in the but for normal road driving trust me

Im open to the highest bidder. This sounds harsh and I know this isnt Ebay but I need the cash !!

I need to find out a bit more about the motor eg when last run, what mods etc, but as far as the guy said both are in great cond because he took then out of a morris or something.

I will let you all know when I find out more.

I dont really need a better or bigger motor as my 1200 ute is our second car and the cash is more important at this time.

ok well yer now i can see that its crap for road use now but you could take the better bits of and stick on ur own engine unless its not an A-14/A-15

I havent actully got the gear home yet . Its a long story as the bloke is on holidays and I know where he works but the guys at is work place didnt want to tell us where he lives or phone number etc because they didnt know who I was etc. thats fair I guess, there are some real dickheads out there.

To the highest bidder I will surply a nights stay over at the Shaw Hilton here in Hamilton & even trough in Breakfast. My wife is a great cook .
