BishopB110 Posted on: 2016/3/14 6:24
Hi all,

I will be purchasing a set of motorcycle carburetors for my A14 and custom making the manifold. just wondering has anyone had the manifold plates made before?

any info would be great. Happy to share all info and details when I find/make the manifold and get the thing running!

Where are you and what material are you after?

It's been done before and like me, there's probably a few people with some sitting around in the shed. There are drawings floating around. Member Clyons made a couple of batches in mild steel, aluminium, round and oval port. He might still have some. I bought some of his years ago.

Hi,

I'm in Sydney. Not too bothered about material. Probably either stainless or mild steel. Stainless would be nice because its shiny and id get an excuse to buy a TIG torch. But mild steel I would just get ceramic coated.

I would be very interested if you or anyone had some.

I has some made ages ago for my bike carbs. If you don't have any luck I'll try and dig out the drawing from somewhere.
Should probably go onto Techwiki as a PDF?

Has this drawing been added? All of the references that I can find just point to broken links.

I have 2D CAD files (dxf) of intake and exhaust plates for oval and round port. Don't recall where I got them. Can send them via email to interested parties.

Intake manifold? I would use aluminium if possible.
