Here are some old pictures that might give you an idea of what is inside and how thick the walls are.
This is an old A12 head that I cut in sections on a bandsaw.

Would some of the guros be kind to take a look ad this porting design? :D

I'm just so insecure when it comes to this as I'm new to the porting world :)

EDIT, I'm am afraid that the edges of the 'D' will break into the water jacket... the edges are 22mm from the centrum, compared to the 15.5mm cirkel that it normally is :/

Yes, i believe that will break into the water jacket. Note that the head has circular jackets, so porting in a slightly larger circle will be OK

Just curious as to why a D shaped port is in your interest?

I've heard of D-shape exhaust ports, the shape helps with reducing exhaust gas reversion etc. Never seem D shaped inlets though.

Just an inkling on my part, the improvement of the D port on this particular head may have more to do with the details of the short turn radius (port floor to valve) or the port area than the port shape it's self.
