i have installed the twin su and started the engine.
cant install the twin su manifold with the a12 exhaust manifold. so i have to use a14 exhaust manifold. but the tailpipe flange diameters and bolt are different. so there is an air leakage and i couldn't fine tune the su's. will bring the car to exhaust shop to install my 4-1 extractor.

thanks to datsun1200.com and youtube to help me understand and tune the su's.

now im after velocity stack and airfilter.

Looks exciting

The airleak may be from those un-connected IMS ports that I see in your photo

These are the two IMS Body hoses:
* Hose A - goes to air cleaner. Will run fine if un-connected
* Hose B - I think this is manifold vacuum hose. Will run terrible if unconnected. To fix, run a hose from one side to the other. Then adjust the Idle Mixture using the screw, just like any other carburetor

I'm not exactly sure. I know that people disable the IMS because they don't know what it is. Unfortunately no one has ever explained step-by-step how they disabled it

I recommend leaving it in place so you can fine-tune the idle & mixture adjustments like a Weber carb

If you put a gasket under the base of the triangular IMS bodies, that may disable IMS. But then you will also need to disable Idle Speed system, maybe by plugging the ports? It is an idle air bypass system, so if not plugged I believe they will cause air leaks

I have a couple of velocity stacks that were cut from the stock GX air box but as you wish to run an air filter I'm not sure they are of much use to you.
