the 2nd and 5th gear in my b310 5 speed gearbox making noise. im getting a mint condition remote shift gearbox from 2008 vanette c22.

can i use the floor shift gearbox housing with all internal parts of remote shift gearbox?

or any other idea?

You may find that won't work as I believe the 4th Gen vanettes are Mazda bongo vans with a different engine and gearbox.

That's right, C22 uses larger transmissions. Even the GA16DE uses the big 71-series gearbox. B310 uses 60-series gearbox

If you can find a Malaysia C22 with A15 engine, you can use the C22 gearbox in your B310 with remote shift linkage. Modify the shifter to fit inside your car. Can you convert the gearbox to floor shift? Not sure, you have to change the rear housing, but maybe also the rear output shaft (transmission main shaft)

If it has the RS5W60A (remote shift), Pitroad sells a kit to convert it FS (floor shift)

Looks like the shaft does not need to be changed, but maybe your existing B310 shaft & housing will fit?

All Malaysian c22 vanette uses ultimate a15. It's common to replace a12 to a15 from c20/c22 to b110, b210 and b310 here. The c22 van was produce until 2009 if I'm not mistaken.

From the picture above I think I can try to make it work. I can even buy another 5speed b310 gearbox from scrap yard to make use of the housing.

I will go to used parts shop ( we call it chop shop in malaysia) to measure and study the a15 c22 gearbox.

So what I need to observe?

I do not know, we never have seen that kind of transmission in my country. Our C22 came with 2.4 liter engine

I would look for the transmission casting ID mark. If it says '60' then probably the B310 transmission parts will swap over

And? Did you have to change the mainshaft or only the rear housing?
