What RPM range will you be running? Higher RPM requires stiffer springs, but stiffer springs cost HP and increase wear. Will you be exceeding 6800 RPM?

For a mild daily driver engine, I would use the stock A14/A15 springs. They are stiff enough to run to 6400 RPM, but light enough that they increase HP and fuel economy

All those springs listed are for extra-high RPM running, for example the lightest they have suitable for A-series is probably good for 10,000 RPM

Tom, I got a set of VW springs to suit the beetle engine from H&M Fermens on Boundary Rd at Mortdale for $20. I am using them in my daily driven A15 with stock cam. I had them installed by Graham Wilkins at Seven Hills when He serviced the head & his opinion of the springs were they were up to the job. I've even used the same springs with a mild cam with success. Crow cams Australia list a set of single springs for an A12 as well.
