Oh yeah, DiscoStu is also in Canberra. But he has been writing recently so I guess he isn't too burnt.

Wha is the ACT?
Well it's a hole...
Nah it's alright... It's a territory in the NSW. It's pretty much just Canberra in it.

Umm... This might kinda help. It's pretty small. Just around Canberra:

We are out of alert now and I saw some blue sky and the moon last night. But smokey again today.
Apparently fire is 6kms away which scares me. But is apparently alright...

Oh, and here are a few pictures that a guy off another forum took while it was all going on.

i wish every one would stop pointing the finger (not in the club) but its partly cus the area's couldnt be cleared but they should look to a way of stopping the fire and preventing it what is pointing the finger going to do nothing but shouting but they say back burning should be done more but people say why destroy and burn it all it causes polution an easy solution by leather gloves and a lot of rakes and rake it all up dont have to burn it all the time but back burning is more easily performed hope every one can understan it

Mate dont get me started on "Burning Off" This has been done for 1000's of years , it is the only way to get rid of all under grouth but it also helps everything rejuvenat for the next year.

Im sorry but this is a very sore point for most Firefighters as most of the people who say burning is not the way to go or is the wrong thing to do ARNT THE PEOPLE RISKING THERE LIVE'S TO SAVE LIVE'S AND PROPITY because some green doesnt want to polute the air with smoke, well hay have a look at a photo from a saturlite and see how much smoke is about , only about 10,000 times more than if we burnt it a little !!

Ive heard people say "what about the native animals" well most of then can sence a fire KM's away or more and have heaps of time to get away even Kolala's when there half stoned on gum leave's can run alot faster than some people I know !!

I think if we where allowed to do a little more burning 90% of the major fire would not get as big as they do . Dont get me wrong Im talking control burns not just lighting a trail and pissing off.

anyway just my 2c worth

Regards
amshaw

Hey 1200ute8u1!

Didn't I recommend that you stay away from alcohol and non-prescription drugs??
At least until you turn 15??

I especially like the leather gloves and lots of rakes bit..except it has nothing to do with 1200s.
