Sure thing

Open in new window

Can buy from new-datsun-parts.com
* Pump gasket diaphragm kit $40
* Pump fuel valves $19

Or you can buy a new fuel pump for $39 on eBay

Ok cool

Reason i ask is because i am putting bike carburettors on my engine and i hear the pump pressure is too high at 2.6psi and needs to be around 1 psi?

So i was thinking to open a original pump and cut the spring until i reach the 1psi and want to make sure i can get a kit for it if i need to

Does this sound like it will work? From my unteratanding the spring is what sets the pressure?

Thanks

Rebuild kits don't come with a spring. For that I'd buy a new or used fuel pump

Yes, that sounds right. Spring pressure sets the fuel pressure. Bike carbs use gravity feed for the most part. Dunno if 1 psi is too much or not
