Yes Geoff is a nice bloke, but he will fight a warranty if he beleives it, and he does a good job of it!

And to think I thought SSS were only grumpy to me!
I will say that Jeff is an ok bloke when it comes to turbos and warranties, but your talking about an engine so I won't even open my mouth!

We all love the grumpy folks down at SSS Automotive don't we

They hate engine warranty claims, but are always great with small (costly) parts, like ingnitors and stuff. Turbo's and engines you have no chance, and they will win until it becomes a court/dft case.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother, seriously... It's more trouble then what its worth. In my opinion anyhow.

Rebuild it and gain another 50HP and another 10 years life (maybe for some of us? ok... our mothers driving? )

Yeah mate, the place sounds like a joke to me. If they offered a warranty then they should honour it cause a rich mixture won't stuff your rings.

I have seen people have trouble before and hence my import parts now come from other sources.

If anyone needs good import parts PM me and I may be able to put you onto some people who have been good to me. Depends what ya after of course

lol thanks for the support fellaz ... i would give the name of the place but i dont want to get the guys on the site busted so what im guna do is say that it could possibly be a place in Girraween that is very respected and everyone knows about them lol, i suggest if u guys want the real name to pm me ill tell u who it is, but if u wanted to go here dont coz... 1. they told me ####all when i went to pick the motor up etc with andrew... 2. they treated me like crap over the phone and when i came there they ridiculed my car coz id used roof screws for the radiator supports at the front and other stuff right in front of me and finally 3. they are all really really ugly lol... u need to go to this place to beleive it their customer service is a ####ing joke they respect noone and treat customers like #### and theirs this assumed mood about the place like all their engines are gold ( mine must have been gold plated ) but of course they aint...

I think that you should post the name of the company on here, so that no-one else buys from them and gets the same crappy deal you got....

these are the people that give the industry a bad name and should be highlighted, not hidden....

oh yeah, l'd also like to hear their reason for the rings being stuffed so quickly.... ( the real reason, not some aftermarket computer bull#$%# excuse)

Now, after that, just think of the things you can do and how sweet the car will be when you rebuild the engine!!!
