With brand new T3 tops, it may come with a spacer. Since T3 markets them "for Datsun 1200" they must have it figured out

Unfamilia, is this the spacer you used with your generic camber tops?

No that was a washer to stop the top hat dropping further down shaft. Spacer was about 25mm tall. Little washer on top then pipe them big washer on top of top spring hat

The stock spring seat is dished, so it needs a spacer. I reckon it could be two-piece (washer + spacer) or one-piece (washer welded to spacer)

Instead of the large washer, maybe use the stock bearing

Spacer needs to be taller than the dish of the spring cup

Like this maybe

On second thought, the Factory Service Manual shows the upper spring seat upside down. I found this photo shows it the other way

Doesn't seem like it would need a thick spacer

No need to cut the existing strut. Just slide the sleeves on and fasten securely (weld or use an industrial shaft collar)
