Hey there everyone :)

Loong time no see.... Never mind that, here is some of the stuff I've been going about.

The car is on the verge of beeing rust free, so that means the engine must soon be ready to drop back in! After the paint job ofc...

BUT speaking of the engine, here os some of out thought on that.

Since I have got a CAD job ad Rotrex, doing work for Kolstrup himself, I have the opportunity to get a Rotrex supercharger for very cheap or free, when the car is running.
With great power comes, great amount of stress on the gearbox/diff (responsibility)

After having owned a RX8, (loved that car) I came to think, "That gearbox shifts darn good(!), is slim and can handle good amount of power!"
So now the thought of mateing the RX8-box mate to my little A12 have hit me...

I have the engine on a self-build engine stand and want to give it an overhaul. Most of all also want to tear it apart to get an idea of its condition.
I'm thinking of leaving the engine mostly stock, if possible I might get it ported to 32 on the intake and ?? exhaust(need some input here).
I have designed a throttlebody for EFI, with minimal turbulence in mind, based on the idea of a RollerThrottle:

Haveing checked with a local machine shop, the design will be expensive as hell to make.. like 5000AUD *_*
Need to make some corrections to make it more simple/easy to make..

So there is plenty of things left to do

If you feed the supercharger first it will create both great atomization, cooling
inlet charge and charger simultaneously with no need for intercooler.
You can also use water injection pre charger and never have carbon buildup.

If you are set on injection Ducatti have a pair of 65x45mm units
from factory ample enough and are super cheap from the US
http://www.rubbersideup.com/media/cat ... 136e95/d/s/dsc_6044_8.jpg

that way you can put $ towards a nice 6 speed, LSD setup and coilovers all roumd
if you want to fabricate something unique you can and prob will anyways? make a
custom billet manifold to suit the rotrex also side supported using a custom
billet rocker cover with a hinged flip top for easy oiling and adjusting rockers.
Maybe higher on the back part like late SR20 rocers with breather off the side

Lovely effort keep up the excellent meticulous work! eye candy for sure

Arrh yes, The swastika's xD

Is the only way to fit the AZ6 via Cut'n'slut?

I have been told that about good atomization before... But I can't quite find out how I'm going to do it yet. I Will start out NA anyway, so when the SC gets inbound I might change the setup a little and move the injector

A billet Rockercover would be SOOOOO awsome :O
You give me too many good and expensive ideas !!! God dam it D.

For good atomization, you can do port injection, and point the injector at the inlet valve. It's what most engine manufacturers do for a supercharged engine. The carburetor guys need more atomization and it might work slightly better even for EFI

Possibly you can make an adapter plate to use with the RX-8 transmission. The only one I've got a photo of is the cut-n-shut

doing modern CNC stuff can dislocate the period finish that it deserves
have a look at this for some idea of what can be done to suit a datto.
Going carb like SU works well and a guy I know who has an 84 suzuki alto
fit a rotrex with SU as he does daily where he works for mini customers.
They run beautiful and his 800cc suzi makes 109hp atw!

If you control the mixture, spark, and temperature, the stock cast pistons can easily take 16 psi boost

* Never let A/F mixture go lean. 12:1 for best power, 14:1 for cruising
* Never let spark advance cause detonation. Mechanical spark advance needs tight control
* Inlet temps kept down to where detonation does not occur. Cold air intake helps along with either moderate boost OR adi (water/alcohol) injection

Yes, control of all parameters will be a top priority. I can get a good deal on Van Kronenburg ECU, https://kms.vankronenburg.nl/ , quite good stuff! And I have some good people to map the thing when the time comes.

16 psi and up, looking forward to that ! ! !

Until the gearbox is mated to the engine, can the std box and diff handle that power? ( 74' 120Y/B210)
Or am I in over my head on that one?...

I want to get another diff with time, most likely is going to be a shortened Pajero unit, or something alike. That's what easy to come by here in Northern Europe / Denmark :)
