Not much going on, except I bought a 1" rear sway bar, so now will have 1" bar in front and back. I also picked up a center console but it's black instead of brown so may have to paint it.

I bought a sandblasting cabinet and stripped the gold A14E valve cover down to bare metal, then resprayed it with high heat gold and clear along with the alternator bracket. Turned out pretty good.

Junkyard score today! Got a pair of S130 280zx front struts and a/c compressor. The compressor is humongous compared to both the York USDM b310 compressor and the JDM b310 compressor. I think I could probably customize and make it work though if I really want but for now will stick with the USDM setup.

I'm very excited to have found the struts though. I hate that Nissan had the front track wider than the rear with the stock b310 struts. The last big thing I need is a 82-83 200sx rear end!

You could paint the engine block same gold as well. I did mine
in alloy silver it upped visibility acting as a light reflector
for usually dark lower engine bay easy to spot leaks or issues.

Smaller efi manifold ports will keep the flow/mix/charge of
the fuel away from the port walls no lamination issues.
There are a few write ups on this, on exhaust side the opp.
larger exhaust header ports decrease reversion pulses.

If you need a 190 lsd, Ive supplied plenty all over the world.

Also bigger air compressors use up hp, I used a toyota one
from late 90s and 2000s corollas, xb and others very compact
and have dual operation which is easily adapted if needed.
My old 1972 280ce benz coupe used one and worked way better
than original even improving fuel economy vs original.

Thanks D, I've already scored an H190 3.7 ratio LSD pumpkin for a decent price ($800 shipped), just need the actual rear end assembly now. What brand or what do you get your H190 LSDs out of? I'll admit I'm pretty low information as far as H190s go, I was planning to just do a custom Ford 8.8 (~$1200-1500) until this LSD popped up.

Yeah I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of the 'Desert yellow' color...would rather see a deeper yellow if yellow at all. From the small amount of B310 wagon pics out there I think the wagons look best in white, silver, and possibly black. I'll have to give it some serious thought whether I keep it the same color or not. I'm striving for the engine to look just like the stock SGX-E setup; blue block with gold valve cover and of course polished bits here and there. Over the years I've been moving more towards the stocker/OEM look of cars as far as paints/colors and such. I sent some pics and got a quote from Jet Hot to get the turbo manifold coated in gold and almost passed out; they quoted $500 shipped for their service! I got my SR20 tubular manifolds coated by them for only half of that.

I never thought about using a different type of car A/C compressor outside of Nissan. I'll have to poke around a bit. Honestly I'd be happy sticking with the square hp robbing stock York compressor if I could find a new one for when this one goes, but best I can find is one meant for a Subaru that 'might' work.

Don't forget to support the manifold with a brace down to the block, or you get cracking around (through) the bottom of the front inlet runner. This happened to both manifolds I had, I sold the first one broken, then had the second one repaired. There is a factory brace there, but ignorance on my part meant it was left off. The manifold itself is top heavy, so it rotates around the studs, & obviously cracks. Making a support wouldn't be too hard, just some round hollow steel tube. Measure the length needed, add a bit both ends, then flatten the end in a vice & drill some holes to bolt it through. I had the cracked section fall right out, causing a massive vacuum leak.

Thanks for the heads up I'll be sure to build a couple support brackets for it. I got a line on an h190 rear end hopefully it won't cost too much to get it here from San Antonio! That will complete all the large items I'll need, woohoo!

black never liked it, too dangerous in low light and nightime and
props all the way for the nissan blue and gold combo engine
Great choice on the H190 they are tuff things well worth the upgrade
