Hey people it been awhile but I'm back into the Datsun owners club with my new b20. I searched threw looking for the answer to my question but haven't been able to find it, I hope you don't mind me starting a new topic to find out if someone can point me in the right direction. I need a new starter for old girl and was wondering if an a12 starter will fit my a10. I have searched high and low for an a10 starter with no luck. If anyone has one they are willing to part with or know the info I'm after it would be greatly appreciated as I really want to having back on the road asap. Thanks Ryan

I believe it will. Certainly A12, A14 and A15 are all the same

confirmation
* B10: 23300-18015 ASS'Y-starter Mitsubishi * B110: 23300-18015 ASS'Y-starter Mitsubishi Same part number
* B10: 23300-H0100 ASS'Y-starter HITACHI S114-87L * B110: 23300-H0101 ASS'Y-starter Hitachi S114-87M * B120: 23300-H6904 MOTOR ASSY-STARTER 8504- Hitachi S114-163F different Part Numbers, versions of the same starter model
Newer ones are more powerful, for example 0.8kw, 1.0kw, 1.2kw. Automatics turn slower, but have more torque. Otherwise the same
