Hi further to a previous conversation on here I was hoping to help get an ID on a carb. I'm after the specific model number if possible as I'd like to give it a once over and would prefer I had a rebuild kit in the garage for it.

Hitachi D carburetor as used on all A-series engines

It's the new improved DCR306. Here are the two biggest clues

So would there be any changes needed to it to get it spec'd right for an a15 and what do you usually do about servicing the vacuum secondary?

Thanks David always appreciate your help

Would you recommend running this or a Weber 32/36 on a smooth mild daily?

It is usually an A15 carburetor. It should run fine as-is. Servicing the vacuum secondary is done with the carburetor kit instructions

Hitachi DC carburetor runs much smoother than Weber 32/36, but the Weber makes more power over 5000 RPM

Or possibly it's the Hitachi DCF-306, per the repair manual

What are the numbers in the carburetor throats?

Hey DD. If the Weber makes more power over 5000rpm, what is the margin on that? As in how much more could it make? (Mild engine, like: pistons, cam, valves, small bore out)

Well instead of 85 HP @ the engine with the stock carburetor, a slightly warmed over engine might make 92 HP with the 32/36
