Some photos of diff fitted after been shortened. Still waiting on the forged axles to turn up to fit and can't wait pretty excited to see how they look and fit.
Still will need to get leafs reset virtually flat to lower a lot more. Like the look of tyres tucked under guards. These are only small 225/50/15 as fit the 15x6.5 ford rims nice. Attach file: IMG_5146.JPG (39.77 KB)![]() IMG_5147.JPG (42.72 KB)![]() IMG_5148.JPG (41.78 KB)![]()

Some pics of engine crossmember to suit ca18 engine, engine mounts are cheap eBay cortina mounts. All the steering gear is stanza stuff. Should be bit better than stock.

Working on the tunnel, need to do a lot more but for now I just cut it out roughly to allow ca18 with 4 speed auto to fit. Will looking into it more when get to it but that tunnel was one I fitted to a ke20 I had but cut back out of Rolla and went a lot bigger as changed from a jatco 3 speed to the 4 speed (re4ro1a) and a lot bigger so just using this one to roughly work out where to cut my datto to suit, I will get a bigger one rolled in future to weld in. A lot of room around box is always a good thing fitting box and doing general work on it. I never had a small turbo car with auto before so all new to me but really keen to get this one going to see how good it is and getting older now and hate pushing a clutch in these days, I have fitted a manual valve body to the auto and running a b&m pro ratchet shifter got a good combo just need to put it all together and have fun

Brakes I've got some old vl turbo single piston and they got the cooling fins all over them, I guess that's how you tell. They have a 3inch bolt spacing which bolt straight onto my struts and i machined the rotor down 5mm and just run 6mm washers to space out caliper centre on rotor. I had some 4 inch rim blanks so cut the centres out of some ford pursuit rims and welded these together so they will fit inside front guards.

Found this old as rn25 or so 1970something hilux diff and cost bugger all so chopped it and made it suit. I like the clean look of drum brakes and the clean housing look. I narrowed it to suit 15x8 0 offset 235/60/15 m/t tyres.

Ended up buying this old school radiator intercooler setup that looked neat and alot cheaper than buying other stuff but with 16fan all mounted it sits way too close to engine so thinking about moving engine back which will need the firewall recessed abit
