Hey man. Yea it's such a old school turbo. I don't think they are really popular as don't see greddy used much but I'm a big fan and always wanted to use one of these. Best thing its new genuine from Japan but I've had it 8 years now. Keen to see what it makes.

Got some parts, thanks to Brisbane fuel injection for the intake, serious if anyone needs any good upgrades then check the shop out, good prices too. But doesn't the intake tb and fuel rail look hot or what. Also mcdonald bros racing sent out the triangualted 4 link parts but had to get different brackets so have started to piece it together. In the photo I just made some 3mm plates up for the chassis and had to modify the tail shaft loop as it was too low do cut a section out and tig it back together to make it sit higher on car. There isn't much room to run these bars but will get some more done later. Going to get some more plazmaman clamps and adapter for this bosch tb and do cold side piping then it's whatever next

Took all day to get the lower 4 link bar in with brackets, all level with car and centered, measure 5 times weld once. Jobs like this wish i had a hoist, I will get one soon, it was so hard to get in/ under this car to weld it in.

That's some nice looking work. I got more practice to do before my tig welds look that good.
Are you hard mounting the engine? I couldn't see any allowance for engine movement in the intercooler piping. Or do the clamps allow for movement?

Hey lamb. Nah engine rubber mounts. The radiator is rubber mounted at bottom but I thought same thing as you with plazmaman clamps but they allow so much movement. I reckon you get more movement with these than silicone.

Just looked those clamps up, they're quite clever. A bit pricey though. I can see how they'd give you buckets of movement and if the oring blows it's probably still driveable. Unlike silicone or other elastomers.
