The stock handbrake internal rod is threaded, and the button screws onto it
I was thinking you could cut a button out of hard wood, drill a hole in one end, then epoxy the brass nut to it Unscrew this brass part: Attach file:  handbrake lever.jpg (32.71 KB)

I could not twist off the brass end
