Hi Guys

After a little longer time, i recently changed my filters and contact point on my car it was running smooth, yesterday i had a highway tour , it was running great but sometimes when i am about to stop the car it stalls not always too, but it idles perfect, after coming home i checked it and found fuel pump was leaking fuel from diaphragm area, so need to replace the packing around and also found my fuel pump arm was worn out a little, i remember i filled it few months back with bronze it seems it warns out fast is there any other way to fill it to stay longer without getting worn out so soon ?

thanks
regards
sumith

Yes, I've had leaks before. Two different causes:

* If fuel is leaking around the top cover, it's just a packing (gasket) issue. Tightening the screws usually fixes it

* If fuel runs out near the pivot pin, or leaks near the packing with the engine block, the diaphragm that pumps the fuel has a small leak in it, letting fuel to the back side. Putting a new packing in just redirects the leak, now it's leaking into the engine oil pan ...

Which brass piece are you asking about?

Hi DD

Actually fuel is leaking out from bottom packing which is going outside of the car not into the engine side , In this image what i mean is part no 9 as the ARM (the piece which touches the engine shaft from inside)

thanks
