Its a little off topic but I'm building another chassis for the Clubman 7 because
after living with it shortfalls for several years now - Its time

Used pretty much the same setup as in "datsun 1200 for $1200" - lots of good info on that thread
Ignition/Distributor - 12 tooth motorcycle sprocket(one tooth omitted) mounted inside a gutted standard distributor
with hall effect sensor mounted off the side.
No crank angle sensor
ECU - Microsquirt
Injectors - Bosch/raceworks 725cc on E85
On the second turbo build I used Ls1 coils (simpler because they have internal igniters )

If I might ask. Forgive me if you already wrote this but, what are you using as an ignition system? Did you use the factory distributor? What ecu? What size and model injectors. Need help for my own A12 turbo build. Just curious how you did it. Why reinvent the wheel?

Different fan (one big instead of two small ones) , relocated oil cooler and additional radiator cowl
cooling sorted

If you tilt that intercooler so theres air coming from below into the radiator
maybe 30 degrees it should be enough of a gap but will need custom shovel nose
design if you have no room to do this. Something along these lines but simpler

Have to revise the Intercooler (position/type/size) as its blocking too much air and its getting temps up into the mid 90 degrees mark

If only I was so lucky with my 260hp 13b 640kg datsun 1000!
Could not get it down from 110+db and getting caught with
no engineering approval for the swap stung me silly.
For lightweight cars exceeding the power and torque is
usually no problem regardless of lower rated components.
You need a lexan hood to show off that bling!!!

Just took the car for it first run "on boost"

Holy crap that's Quik

Was surprised at how quiet it is with only a 2 1/2" straight through carbon fibre motor bike muffler
Will be interesting to see how it goes unhindered on the track.

I would have liked to have been able to raise it a little ( or sweep it up ) to get it further away from the exhaust
but space was the big limiting factor
More room in a Datto engine bay
