The Power Jet is not directly related to speed, it is related to load -- when full throttle, it is (normally) activated. And it is in the main circuit, so no effect at idle. To disable it, you may hacksaw the stuck rod. Then it should run OK at lower throttle openings but will be down in power at full throttle (may even cause detonation by running lean). If you leave the rod stuck down, it may run better but will get terrible fuel economy

The jetting depends on the venturi size. Which mean 85/125 in that carburetor is totally different from 85/125 in another model carburetor

Hi Guys

I fixed the Carburator with a adapter and started the car it started and stayed idle without any problem after few minutes it started leaking out from the door pin on the bottom of the carburetor(see the image Yellow color arrow), is that worn out bush ion the door pin or any other hidden problem in the carburetor, i have attached a video and image here with

what do you guys think about please share your ideas

Fuel can leak there if there fuel leak above the throttle plate (and the throttle butterfly plate is closed)

One cause is if the float level is too high, which causes fuel to run over

Hi DD

i actually took it out and put a little fuel to the plunger area and pumped it by hand twice then it started leaking out , i just put a very little amount of fuel there only, can it cause overflow state with a little amount of fuel ?

thanks

Yes it could, but also possibly the shaft bushing is worn allowing air to get in, and fuel to get out

Hi Guys

OK i Took the the carburetor away, since it had a small play on the throttle shaft so i found a lock pin on one of my carburetor repair kit and fixed it to the shaft i fixed the carburetor back leak stopped completely ,now it ok noticed these things in it

when the engine is hot it runs little rough
when idling i just pulled the accelerator pedal little backwards (towards the deaccelerate side) to see whether it has any kind of problem with it suddenly with a hiss sounds car dies,
when accelerating it does not die ,
when hot i noticed idle air fuel mixture screw does nothing to bring its rpm down or upwards

as DD said it runs rich i found another carburetor from junk yard with working power valve i will fix it after few weeks when i get my problem sorted out with this carburetor

as i understand it is a must to have the throttle shaft bushing for this carb

what do you think guys ??

thanks
regards
sumith
