Has anyone put power steering into a 1200 ?
I am running fairly wide slicks and steering is heavy as .

I wouldn't complain but I have to use that much force it puts strain on my upper legs and my panty elastic leaves horrible marks.
Big slicks Castor and small steering wheel are not a good combination especially slower corners

After I increase the castor on my car it's now more physical than my single seater, thankfully because it takes so long to get down the straights I get a rest.

Is electric power steering a possibility?

Yes, for sure. Flaming River sells custom rack & pinion and also sells column-assist type

Electric power steering (adapted from some of the new cars) is being used on 1200s

Some complain that some electric units have poor steering feel (just as most hydraulic power steering units have this same problem)
