Hi All

Wondering if anyone has some pics or a template they used

To trim and shape the lower forward part of their 1200 front fenders / guards

Looking for ideas to allow larger wheels to fit by cutting and shaping front guard to neatly blend with wheel arch and lower front apron

Won't be running flares so would like to make the shape flow without looking obvious they have been cut

If you have pics of yours would be great!!!

Put masking tape over the area and start drawing where you want to trim it. Re-apply and re-draw until you're happy with the shape. You don't need to take a whole lot off.
This was with a 185/60x14 tyre with a heap of extra castor and wide track, all of which increase the chance of the tyre fouling that front lower corner.

Thanks for your reply and picture L18

I used your tape idea to get a shape

I'm wanting to be able to fit 16s or 17s

So have also cut the footwell area back at the rear of front wheel

Managed to make a cardboard template of the front guard area.

Then was able to reverse it for other side.

I've probably removed a bit more than in your picture
But the profile starting higher up and curving down and around into front apron

I'll try upload some pics, might help others

Thanks again cheers
