auto bell housings are not rare

* T50 5-speed + Dellow kit = $1100
* T5 5-speed + auto bell + adapter = $700

Well another reason to justify my years of promoting
the T5 world class gearbox over all Nissan units

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG12jmFsI7M

Its really beautiful, now you A series diehards
need a thin adaptor plate for an Auto bellhousing
to fit the T5 4 bolt pattern

Yep I think starter motor is the way, very cheap which is the aim
of datsun folks so a harley 6 speed, auto A series bellhousing
connected via adapter plate, clutch and imput shaft spigot change.

Starter motor mods to go forward or reverse as used in electric go karts

http://www.diygokarts.com/engine/car-starter-motor-conversion.html

Sequential shifting all mechanical sounds sweet!

There are plenty of reverse kits but was told by an electric engineer
starter motors are DC and easily to setup for reversible rotation
using a switch that can be setup using first gear.

These are available but I would prefer a high torque starter
with a relay which is cheaper to reco every few years if need be
than to pay 3 times the price of the box they run

Exactly, you could mount your shifter almost anywhere.

The Ultima website rates the 140ci v twin at 175lbs!
165bhp but these trans also sit behind turbo drag v twins
http://www.ultimaproducts.com/transrsd6speed.html

I wonder if someone knows something about these boxes
they are cheap at 6-700usd on ebay, gearset replacements at 500usd

2kw starter could be used from ultima
just needs an adaptor for an A series auto bellhousing
flange for the prop and clutch spline and input shaft considerations etc

The whole cost could be easier than sourcing and rebuilding old T50 toy boxes
buying a kit for them and fitting them only to have a H pattern.
