I know Ive seen somewhere on this forum a belt drive kit
to replace chain setup on A series but does anyone know
if a similar system was used on an L series?
Owner makes 180hp atw with fia head I supplied but wants
to extract every hp out of his class winning 510

I prefer the belt driven setup DD
but cant find the pic of it.
Belt setup should be lighter albeit
not as accurate but its only for
an oil pump if you are running
distributorless dizzie ecu

I'm not aware of any belt drive to replace chain setup on A series. The good news is that the oil pump still works after distributor is removed on the A series (unlike the L-series)

i ran my A12 with the distributor removed for about two years, had good oil pressure the whole time

perhaps you are thinking of an accessory belt drive. The V-belt can be replaced with a gilmer drive belt
