Good point, always use a compatible coil. The stock Datsun coil is compatible
For Hotspark, use a standard points-type coil, such as the B110 coil or Bosch GT40 For high-energy dizzy, use a high-energy coil and no ballast resistor. Such as Nissan Pulsar N12, Bluebird Series 2, or MSD Blaster 2. See EI Coil
