Hello Craigslist,

For sale is my modified Datsun 1200 coupe.

The car has a full power and drive train swap from a Toyota AE86 GTS Corolla. It is basically a 1,600 pound AE86.

I have just recently completed a major mechanical refresh of the car. I had big plans for the project, but I have lost interest at this point and wouldn't mind seeing the car go to a new home for my asking price.

Here is the list of mods (all items marked "new" have been bought and installed in the last few months):

Engine:
- Bluetop 4AGE 16v
- Custom header
- New Gates Racing reinforced timing belt
- New OEM cam oil seals
- New OEM timing belt tensioner
- New OEM water pump
- New OEM cam cover gaskets
- New Koyorad aluminum racing radiator (latest design)
- New thermo-switched SPAL fan
- New radiator hoses
- New OEM thermostat
- New OEM thermostat housing to block water pipe and o-rings

As you can see, I've basically gone through all the mechanicals of the car over the winter. It's a great running and driving car at this point. The body does have some dings, dents, and scratches. There is also rust damage on the car, but it has been treated and patched. No active rust. The next phase for me was to do flares, wider wheels, front and rear spoilers, body and paint.

It's a rare car with a great swap that solves all the power and drive train rarity / aftermarket support problems with this platform. Lightweight, rear wheel drive, legendary twin cam 4 cylinder engine, 5-speed, and a LSD - it's a great package to build on.
