Exciting, but Toyoda never shipped it?

Meanwhile Nissan Leaf became the #1 battery electric car. Then Tesla Model 3 overtook the sales in 2018 partly due to its Ferrari-beating acceleration performance -- it don't need no R spec

300hp from 1.6L and that figure is before the electric motors come in
no belt all ancillaries driven internally alternator, waterpump, cooler etc

You will notice very tall head probably accomodates very deep combustion chamber
design and highly inclined 10 degree valves angles to keep mixture tight till the end of the short stroke. While Toyota has gone back to old style 40 degree valve angles.
Race and street applications are very different.

Nissan Nismo had a nice Note setup, not hybrid but the engine technology
is the DIGS supercharged engine with virtually same technology
