Found some nice photos online that illustrate the evolution of Sunny

B210 was an improvement in some ways over B110, but it was saddled with a lot of plastic in dash area and with square gauges in all but JDM higher trims. And for North America it was quite heavy using the "big" suspension from the PB110 (unlike the svelte B210 120Y). In fact it was so heavy they had to put the larger A13 in it just to keep the same performance as the 1200

Seats and interior are nearly the same as B110 but now using the integrated-headrest seat design first used in the B110 GX5. Rear seat is same as B110. Is that a dealer-option tape player?

Engine bay:
* look original except for aftermarket voltage regulator, mystery white box next to fuel filter and the fuel line is wrapped in foil for some rearons
* Almost identical to B110 but has larger core support rail a la PB110, deeper cowl seal area on firewall and the tell-tale strut insulator covers
* 1974 North America is unique in having a non-covered coil/washer/regulator with the washer tank in the front left corner

North America got (from the JDM PB210) 13" wheels and honeycomb wheel covers

Also 1974-only flat silver bumpers

Here's another look at those bumpers. They are 5mph impact bumpers -- seen everywhere in the world on later Datsuns

Using shock-absorbers to take the brunt of low-speed impacts without damage to the car. Due to the bumpers sticking out further they use a sight-shield to bridge the gap. Same thing the A10 got in AUS and JPN

Because of the bumper design, the turn signals -- which are B110-style for worldwide B210 -- are moved to the grille where the OPTION fog lamps would normally go

Why yes, that is a coupe grille. For North America all the early B210 (1974-1976) used the coupe grille, even sedans used it. Then to top it off, for 1977-1978 they used the new sedan grille even on coupes. That nutty Nissan-Datsun North America, alwys had to be different
