not too 1200,but i've just got a 92 nissan navara ute with a z24,but it's an auto.i also have an sr20de 5 speed in the shed,so i was wondering if anyone knew if the two could be joined,or do i have to fool around with bellhousings.i assume the bolt pattern is the same as the naps-z engine that the chickenhawk is running.thought i'd ask here before venturing out into the world of datsun sites.

I think the Z18/Z24 stuff is similar to L-Series.
So it'll require some bellhousing swapping.

As an aside, is the VH45 the Nissan V8?

Yes the box will fit if you get a z series bell housing (from Z18 or Z20 Navara etc) If the bell housing is from an early 71B box from a Z18, then some mods will be neeed to take the bigger bearings and selector rails of the later box. The Navara uses the 71C gearbox same as SR, so a Navara 5 speed bell housing would fit straight up to the SR box.

bugger,forgot to ask about the flywheel & pressure plate,i suppose i'll have to get a z series flywheel & clutch,or can i use the flywheel & clutch on the back of the sr20de sitting next to the gearbox.
