is it round or oval inlet port, the one you have i mean, a-14's came with both

hay 1200rallycar. Thay look to be round. There is
alot of space between them. And can i safly drill and tap it for more studs if i seal the threds

does anybody know if it is possible to get a stud kit for the head? have studs instead of bolts.

first thing i would be doing would be getting an oval port head off an a-14 for it, it will be a great improvemnt in flow without modification, i think, not sure but it may even have larger valves in it too

as for the studs ive never done anything like that so i couldnt really tell ya

im, thinking your reply will read "a-14's are too rare to find an oval port head" or something to that effect but i really think its the way to go

no Not an A14 head get an A15 head as they have a lot more meat on the gasket face so you cane get the head planed for high compression without getting hotspots

oval port heads are the common A14 head in the US.

jimmy, the round port heads have perfectly round ports. If you take the intake manifold off it will be easy to tell.

arp make a stud kit for both a12's & a14/15's.haven't found anyone in aus with one in stock yet,but check out www.wholesaleperformance.com.au for part numbers.they're in brisbane,they're an importer,& the site has a link to arp.
