I've owned the original Defect (120Y) and what was the parts car, (now The Defect III) since 2001, which is 18 years, and it will be getting rebuilt again soon, as the rust in the roof is getting to the point where if I don't do anything, I'm not going to have a car... I could look for another shell, but finding a better shell isn't that easy, and I need to learn how to weld... So farm hack or road car, it'll need some love spent on it...

A high school buddy bought our car in 1983, we bought it the following year. I've purchased 3 parts cars over the years. I probably should have kept at least one as I've got enough parts to have a fun street car.

This one, about 14 years. Which begs the question, when did you first get a 1200?
I bought my first one September 1974.

So I'm rapidly approaching the 35th year of ownership of the Pokey and I've been on this site nearly for 17 years. I also know at there are folks who've probably owned their cars even longer.

So out of curiosity how long have you owned your car?
