Sedan rear doors are same just have to unpick the window rail/frame off wagon doors and swap. A man of this talent would do it no sweat i did and im an amateur. Sedan doors are easier to find. All that said i did see wagon doors on gumtree recently.

Yes , still chasing rear doors preferably in Victoria so I can inspect them.

Bit nervous getting stuck with rusted out bogged doors from interstate .But have recently contacted various people in NSW . Like the saying goes "" Once bitten "" But I still have faith in good people.

As for talent , Ray was telling me just last week that he made a coupe door from a pair of sedan doors for a particular job . So im sure he can re skin them. But wouldnt mind keeping the cost down with clean doors.

With the amount of work done so far , the shell is probably 2 weeks behind schedule.
Not including doors guards etc. And I have past my intended budget. But have allowed an extra 25% for unforeseen . And this wagon was full of it ( unforeseen ) lol. Ive had a few cars built in my day and experience has taught me , its near impossible to stick to a budget.

Im pricing the diff rebuild currently also front struts and dash

Rays just starting to make the ribs / channels for the rear rust repair

times are a changing....

Ray could move the pillars back for a pair of coupe cfr doors
the sheel metal the rest like so.... sure its $$$$ but would
save $$$ getting good doors, freight, working on them etc.
Who knows maybe might cost up the same in the end but you
would have the only 1200 panelvan known in the world.

then get some chrome badges "Sunnyman" instead of Sandman etc.

Day 42
Bad news
About to lay insulation up the firewall and discovered 3 holes hidden behind loom . Top right hand corner drivers side. Might have to cut outside sill to get to . Wrecking the good work already done , not to mention costly. Grrr

Now I know why cars are named after women , This one is a real "" Gold Digger ""

So had to make a hard decision and go for the cheaper option on the rear cargo floor.
Its killing me but decided to opt for matching clean sheets on both left and right side instead of ribs / channels.
This wagon has had a decent whack in the rear on the drivers side and needs some straightening out.
