Ive got 2 possible customers here with b122 that are interested but wont part with their a15 engines yet are be willing to build them into twin cam setups for themselves. Japanese are quite pedantic like myself so Im looking at the neatest most compact setup I can offer to them and myself. Matt saying he can do it! yet I said the opposite since Rob showed me he could'nt so I just accept that after some brainstorming looking at the setup with him. He is a clever dude even sold his past business to who is now Les Collins another twin cam datsun hybrid dude. However its been a while since then and Matt, a 3rd eye on the subject has convinced me there is another way now. So now see this common toyota industrial engine waterpump also used by many cars like Taragos, Estima, Liteace, Townace, crowns, Dyna, Hiace and Hilux etc. eg. cheap and common and from a 1.8-2.2L OHV engine similar to the K or A series. Eliminating a tensioner/idler pulley with this waterpump would be just amazing and well worth the extra investment for me and for the local guys here who love analog/carbs/metal etc. The culture here is surprisingly very anti ecu in the tuning circles of older datsuns and toyotas. In your case Reubs were you are going delco (simple cheap and well community supported) with turbo, e pump +more eg. pizza with the lot but I have to be closer to my roots and stay with carbs, mechanical waterpumps, just ignition ecu at most which will be more than my new and latest dailys sport (Ive sold my last 3 ecu cars recently and we now have 3 cars that run on carbies with e-ignitions at most yet Im living in Japan!) All 3 of the dailies achieve the same economy as the ecu versions of the following years and everything after it!. Great thing is these things are low mileage and are considered old and dated here so win win for me, the obsolete tech freak. Matt, bring on the inking or branding ideas when you have time :)

The toyota water pump looks like it could be a great option. Thanks Reubs prob Rob mentioned to you it needs to be heated before fitting
or it needs to be pressed in? that is strange otherwise. What do you think of the toyota waterpump? its pretty compact vs A series. It would look simpler all up if its suitable and blades face the correct way. The only other thing I would like is CNC alloy tatoo on these things like on the plate somewhere visible. Maybe DATS*HOON , F`KING A or MEDUS*A (16 viper/valve headed A)

Thats ok Matt will start with the B6 head first, I need to get one running
then will build my Z version as soon as I sort out the B first as I have a few guys here that wont part with their A15 engines as they are so rare but are interested in the twin cam conversion if I can get it running. If you have time there and there after your current work Im looking at this toyota 4y/4p waterpump which is common even from China. Just by looking at first the measurements I found it should be a good indicator if its the pump I should buy and send to you. Sounds good Matt, pls no rush Im still trying to secure a bottom end and
head locally but looks like I will have to go to the mainland. The hassles of being in a small island but the Datsun twin cam spirit will never die, even without a Datsun!

Reuby can you send me a pilot email to Mattndew02@yahoo.com, and Ill send my plate model over. Its all in imperial measurements now though.
D all the pacers can be machined from aluminum instead of steel if they are good slip fits and aren't clanging around. Heck even the the crank drive pulleys can done from aluminum and they would be fine. I will finish machining up the oil pan skirt, but I have to move back into manufacturing for a while. taking the days to get this going takes a toll on the income. R&D is always a losing battle in a garage based company.

if you already have a cnc plate from Rob. Would you know what the crank spacer is made from? steel pipe? Ive been looking for an article on the s1 mx5 that made 166kws atw from a works b6 engine, it is white and looks sweet. I will be happy just to use the exhaust cam on the inlet as well as that gives a good bump from 125hp to about 140hp with good exhaust system. You can view topic.
