Side note - I REALLY hate how the posting of pic's is done on this site. Using Photobucket for years for off site storage but there's no direct cut & paste from my computer storage or from a phone thats not 7 steps for posting pic's....that Im aware of.

There's got to be a better way......

is the URL post button above the only pic post option?

So Im sh*tcanning my A15 thats been in the car since I built it (flattening cam lobe issues) built an early A12 "race" motor I had laying around - literally! and am looking at the engine mounts - looks to me to be a later crossmember with the LH short mount boss.

I know the RH side motor mount needs a longer plate to mate up to the bracket on the engine but what about the left side? It doesn't really look like it lines up , left side is the shorter boss on the Xmember. were the really early A12 Xmembers on the RH side canted towards the front of the car?

Also wondered if theres a SN breakdown to ID exact age of motor, cant find it in the Wiki..

Thoughts??
