Just picked up 63A#3 dogleg shorty to put behind my A 15.
Any info regarding swap much appreciated.

To enable an L-series 63A to fit behind an A-series engine:

1. Remove the front case (split the transmission in two). You are left with the sandwich plate, gearset and rear extension housing
2. Swap the input shaft from an A-series 63A (or machine the L-series shaft)
3. bolt on the front case of an A-series 63A

Once you have the 63A bolted to the engine in place of a stock Datsun 1200 gearbox, see the writeup at Transmission Interchange. It requires:
* tailshaft swap
* tunnel mount swap
* hydraulic clutch pedal setup

I’m looking to put a B210 63A 5 speed into my B310. I was told I can use a 3n71b auto driveshaft...is this true? Also will the crossmember from the auto work?

I don't think so. For a B210, the Auto and 63A driveshaft are the same, but for B310 I believe the Auto driveshaft is a different length

Probably not for the B310. Perhaps the B310 5-speed (60A) crossmember will work. B310 has several holes in the body for the four B310 crossmember types

The 63A and Auto use the same rubber insulator (rubber mount). But the length of the B310 Auto differs from the 63A/B210 Auto
