One thing that makes the 257 type fog lights better -- they are adjustable pivoting (unlike the previous types which were fixed)

Can't find any photos of a Coupe with foglights, except two brochures. The clear one might be the 257. They appear to fasten to the top of the front bumper

Do these work to see through the fog? We don't get fog very often

Found this for sale on Yahoo Auctions. Judging by the 'S' on the lens, this just might be an original B110 option. If it is it would be the H1012 unit (the only rectangular B110 fog light). Newer units like B210/B310 don't have stud mounts

H1010 is not listed in the OPTIONS catalog, but is in the regular Parts Catalog

Rectangular bumper-mount
* H1010 with Yellow lens 26500
* H1012 with Clear lens 26501
265 indicates designed for 1969 510 Coupe.L16

Since there are no pictures of a 1200 with this type, here is the 1600 version. It has a two-bolt housing that attaches directly the special grille. The 1200 version (H1010/H1012) has a post that bolt to a bumper bracket

been wondering how these attach to the car...

Here is the bracket (stay) for the Nissan Type 257. Maybe it clamps to the bumper. Or maybe you have to drill holes in the bumper? They don't look the stamped metal part in the diagram, but they are the correct part number

And here are generic/aftermarket brackets
