Got crusty floorpan plugs? Try this one weird trick to rejuvenate them! Buy a quart of Original Flavor ArmorAll, dump it into a container that has a resealable top. Scrape the biggest chunks of gack off your floorpan plugs. Drop the plugs into the ArmorAll, making sure they're completely covered by the ArmorAll. Put the top back on the container and agitate it. ("You're a loser container!" "You ain't worth the plastic that went into molding you!" etc.) Let it sit for a month, coming back occasionally to agitate it again, checking to make sure the plugs are still covered. After a month, pour the mess out, sit with your plugs and a lint-free cloth and clean them off. Most, if not all, of the accumulated years of road gunk should wipe right off and you'll be left with floorpan plugs that are shiny and flexible again.

I took them from later japanese cars at the wreckers, still black rubber!

Great trick though, like ridding rust on steel bits and bolts doing the same
with vinegar, cola or molasses.
