i was wondering about that ... it looks surprisingly high
![]() it has tall tires 185-60R14 which are 0.9" taller than the original 12" tires. That should raise the car about 1/2 inch. It still look higher the springs look stock and there are no lowering blocks ![]() compared to my sedan with stock 12" tires ![]() perhaps the springs were sagging bit due to age here's my sedan with STOCK suspension but with smaller than stock tires. 2.7" smaller in diameter which lower the car about 1-3/8 inch. ![]() lower, but they don't fill out the wheelwells as much as the stockers also wondering if the bright paint of the wheelwells makes it more obvious ![]() Perhaps painting the wells black would make it look lower, or (as my car) dingy old wheelwheels look dark in photos

The civic makes my eyes hurt as they tried to be like the Bugatti or Aston Martin
even Le Mans and F1 cars that have a purpose as well as beautiful lines. The civic on the other hand is just an ugly hatch back with lots of christmans tree decorations to distract the viewer from its uglyness. Gundam prob right but go back further to Ultraman as well LOL Sure would love the K series turbo in the latest civic into the rear of a rear engine rwd converted EG civic. But then a small block LS alloy motor weighs the same, less complex and more power possible. id love to see a retro larger 1200 ev or hybrid common platform that could allow other past classic models to be used as well like the 1600, 240z, silvia and skyline models. Skateboard platforms will be the only way to survive for car companies as Ford is about to stop making cars like many will soon.

US$37k? Puhleeze. Seller must have been infected with the Barrett-Jackson Syndrome virus. ("I saw a mint 1970 Plymouth Superbird go for $406,000 at auction, so my (fill in the blank here) must be worth (fill in outrageous price here))." While it has "zero (visible) rust", it should be noted that the driver and passenger floor pans have been replaced with non-OEM sheet metal. This coupe is a very nice survivor example, but it's missing the engine undertray along with the OEM vinyl floor matting and the unobtanium tweed-like tunnel carpet. Fitting new suspension bushings to replace the aged, cracked originals along with detailing the dash, installing a rare dealer installed tach, replacing the damaged glove box door and maybe showing us a minty fresh dash pad might help somewhat to justify the stratospheric price tag. Just picking nits here, but the steering might be a bit vague, since the steering box isn't hooked up to the linkage.

The I'm a Datsun collector thing struck me immediately as a pompous attempt to justify a price the seller knows is ridiculous.
That said the car is nice.
