Gearlocks are not something i have even seen here in USA. However all our 1200s (and all cars from 1970) come with Steering Lock standard, which means they can't steer the car without the key. Which mean that "hot wiring" will start the engine, but they still cannot drive the car...

They look like Minty's replicas or from A-Line wheels.

In South Africa these are work horses that don't have to be treated well. So They get stolen daily.

Sheering Locks that are fixed to the ignition key just require a screw driver. A solid whack into the ignition barrel and then you turn it. Bye bye bakkie.

Currently it has central locking, Auto alarm and soon a gearlock.
Depending if I go EFI or GA16. I will do something to the spark or fuel system as an additional measure.

So 2 Nissan 1400s in my area have these.
