random mostly hypothetical dry sump idea: electric fuel pumps

I think sometimes about putting a dry sump on my A14 so I can lower it down and get a better handling car. (It's not in a Datsun.)
I've been thinking lately about retaining the stock oil pump and using it, and having two scavenge pumps hooked to a flat pan, that are electric fuel pumps drawing out of the flat pan gully, dumping into an air/oil separator, that feeds the stock oil pump. That would be a somewhat easier setup than adding a belt driven oil scavenge pump.
Thoughts?

So years ago my fabricator simply cut down the crossmember; I think it allowed us to lower the motor and transmission by two inches. As you can imagine there was a noticeable difference in the handling.

Doing the crossmember seems a lot easier that fabricating a dry sump system.

most interesting, maybe that will work in the dune buggy?

Using a dry sump does allow lowering the engine closer to the road before it hits the engine crossmember. Modify the crossmember allows similar lowering while still using the stock pan

On the other hand, it doesn't give the car increased road clearance, as the low point is still the diff housing and transmission clutch housing. They sell small-diameter clutches and flywheels ...

I have a couple of dry sump pans
Hoping to lower the motor and move it back a little
Haven't done my measurements as yet
