Trav and J Wolf have found the SR20DE crankshaft fits with little work into the qr engines
this was done when the 2008 revised edition of the qr25de with full counterweight crank from factory and also as an alternative to the SR20DE stroker sleeved engine. 1.15:1 compression pistons are available from 2jz racing as used in NA 2jz engines https://www.2j-racing.com/media/catalo ... mg_20200706_144503874.jpg https://www.2j-racing.com/2jr-high-comp-piston-set-11-5-1-qr25.html Canam forged pistons also available that can be used https://canampartsguy.com/product/40152m09200/?v=24d22e03afb2 https://canampartsguy.com/wp-content/u ... 43b-9bf1-79055d3c65e1.jpg 2.0L QR20DE SR20DE custom rods, QR25DE cams induction and exhaust for 8-9000rpm 200hp 2.2L QR25DE using SR20DE crankshaft and custom rods can rev to 8-9000rpm with no issues to make over 220hp. 90mm bores dont need sleeves whilst 92mm bores are possible with sleeves 2.4L high rev 91mm J Wolf crankshaft, rods, cams 2.5L Stock with bolt ons (rods limit it to 7k rpm) QR25DE post 2008 is a serious bit of gear an improved version with full counterweight 100mm crankshaft that with with bolt on 200+hp has been done in the US for over a decade but limited to FF or FWD 2.7L QRazy 92mm sleeves, pistons, rods and stock crankshaft The engine is lighter and more compact than the SR20DE with the only obstacle a rwd gearbox. Now if only I can get hold of an old N10 Pulsar for a QR27DE with AWD Sir setup. ![]() ![]()

Nice 80s styling. I always admired the N10, thought of it as an Accord competitor. Although it was on the budget side while Accord got better and better
What is the hybrid part? Is it an electric motor, or that it a combo of an SR crank in a QR block?

Hybrid as in a mix of SR with QR and yes SR20 crank with full counterweight, proven and cheap 86mm down from 100mm stroke.
A stock QR25DE is 200+hp from factory achieved at a low 6500rpm but with 86mm stroke crank 9k rpm is possible and more lift with slightly more duration 240-280hp is possible. The conrods are the weak link on post 2008 engines but everything else is sorted on that second revision. You can view topic.
